Submissions

This platform publishes youth-driven journalism and media that directly engage with the current world. We are looking for urgent, relevant work responding to culture, politics, technology, identity, and the rapidly shifting digital landscape, or simply work about something you are deeply passionate about.

We accept articles between 400–2,000 words, including reported journalism, cultural criticism, media analysis, political or social commentary, interviews, investigative pieces, and research-based writing.

We also accept video submissions (3–12 minutes), including short-form journalism, interviews, video essays, and documentary-style features. Hybrid or multimedia submissions that thoughtfully respond to contemporary issues are welcome as well.

We publish political poetry that meaningfully engages with current events, social issues, or public life. Poetry that is purely personal or unrelated to contemporary issues is generally not accepted.

We also accept photojournalism submissions, including documentary-style photography that captures real-world events, communities, or political and cultural moments.

We do not publish hate speech, discriminatory content, plagiarized material, or AI-generated submissions without disclosure.

Article Submission Format

Articles should be submitted as a Google Doc or PDF, formatted in 12-point readable font and double-spaced. Please also include a desired cover image in any aspect ratio.

Video Submission Format

​

Videos should be shared through an unlisted YouTube link or Google Drive link.

Photojournalism Submission Format

​

Photojournalism submissions should be sent to nextmajorityjournalism@gmail.com. Please include a short caption or description for each photo.

Response Time

​

Our response time is 1–3 days to ensure timely publication.

This is an independent, youth-led platform and is currently unpaid.
